First Time Asia's 50 Best Bars Awards Held Online

Asia's 5o Best Bars Awards was first hosted in 2016 and has been held annually ever since. This year, unfortunately, the live event had to be cancelled and replaced with an online award ceremony for safety reasons. The online ceremony took place on May 14th, where 50 of Asia's finest bars were honored. Many of the industry's top bartenders were also celebrated for their mastery of the craft. 

Dominance by Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan

This year, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan starred with 24 bars between them placing in the top 50 spots in Asia - making up nearly half of the list. In the top 5 spots, only bars from Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan were featured. In terms of Singapore, 11 bars can be found in the top 50, including 2 bars placing in the top 5 spots. For Hong Kong, 8 bars placed in the top 50 with 2 placing in the top 5. Taiwan had 5 bars in the top 50 with 1 bar placed in the top 5.
