How to immediately Maximize Your SEO

How to instantly rank higher on Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It’s basically the process by which you are ranked by search engines to determine how relevant your content is for a viewer. It’s highly important to know that when it comes to Google, clicks generated are disproportionately high on the first page, and even within the first page, the top 3 results receive far more clicks than lower ones. So just how does one go about boosting their ranking and improving their SEO?

1. Title Your Pages

Optimized page titles and descriptions go a long way to improve your SEO. Essentially, a title and description is what you click on after you search for something. Given that your website will have several pages that likely deal with different topics, make sure that the title and description are relevant to the content described. Try using symbols, numbers or a call to action if applicable. These draw attention compared to dull descriptions.

2. Load Times

Does your website take an absolute age to load? Chances are that it will not do too well on rankings and with SEO simply because people will not wait for very long at all for a website to load. The optimal loading time should be around 3 seconds, though 4 seconds is also okay. Anything higher, and you’ll be ranked lower over time.

3. Get Linked

The more websites that link your site to theirs, the more importance Google’s algorithm will give to your website. The logic behind creating this aspect to Google’s algorithm is that if your site is linked in multiple places, it’s likely very important or perceived to be popular. Link-building will definitely help boost the SEO of your site. It is also useful to link relevant pages of your own site, where applicable. For example, if a part of your website mentions blogging, you can link the word ‘blogging’ directly to your website’s own blog.

4. Mobile-Friendly

Ensure that your website is optimized to work on mobile devices because a poor mobile experience will lead to lower search result rankings. Google monitors how long a person stays on your site for, and If your mobile site is wonky or poorly optimized, people will click away quickly, causing you to drop in the rankings.

5. Incorporate Keywords

Keywords are what google searches for on your site when recommending it to someone. Therefore, it is very important to research what keywords are popular and commonly-used in your industry. However, it’s not quite as simple as that. Some keywords have high volume of searches, but are extremely competitive, meaning there are many websites using those words, so your chances of receiving a click are lessened. There are also keywords that are rarely-used with low competitiveness, but this isn’t really the ideal solution, either. The best way to go about things is to find a happy medium. Many sites online can help you discover what keywords are good for you to use and how competitive they are.

6. Blog

Writing a blog for your website is more than just allowing yourself creative freedom. Firstly, it gets readers to come back to your site, meaning that you’re generating more clicks and boosting your ranking in Google’s eyes. Secondly, you can write about all major trends in your industry, thus incorporating even more keywords. Finally, it builds up credibility and customers may find your blog genuinely useful and engaging, which leads to more purchases since you seem like a helpful and reputable company.

7. Content

It’s imperative that your website generates new content often. This links in well to the blog section since the more content you’re generating, the more Google’s internet bots take notice of your site. In addition, your target audience will be paying attention as well, especially if you’re saying something new and fresh.
