8 Hong Kong Establishments in 'Asia's Best 50 Bars' List
Which Hong Kong joints feature in the rankings?
According to Asia's 50 Best Bars 2019, Hong Kong is one of the most premium Asian destinations to visit when it comes to procuring a quality alcoholic beverage. Of the 50 F&B establishments on their list, 8 Hong Kong bars and restaurants held prominent positions and garnered glowing reviews and recommendations. The list was determined by a panel of distinguished judges which was made up of  "200 drinks experts, including renowned bartenders and consultants, drinks writers and cocktail specialists from across Asia."
Of all 50 restaurants and bars in this list, Hong Kong's The Old Man, a bar inspired by Earnest Hemmingway, features as the best bar in Asia. The bar first opened in 2017 and did so with plenty of critical acclaim. In 2018, The Old Man placed 5th in the rankings of Asia's 50 Best Bars. This year, this classy establishment has been crowned the best bar in Asia - no small feat.
Also featuring within the top 10 of the list is Hong Kong's The Quinary. As with The Old Man, The Quinary jumped up a few spots from 2018 to feature at a higher position this year. In 2018, The Quinary landed at the number 15 spot, while in 2019, it takes the number 10 spot.
Singapore had the most spots in the top 10 with Manhattan, Native, Atlas and Jigger & Pony. Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai and Bangkok made up the remainder of the top 10 with High Five, Indulge Experimental Bistro, Speak Low and The Bamboo Bar at M.O., respectively.

Stockton (36th) - A whiskey bar modelled after traditional speakeasies
8 1/2 Otto Mezzo Bombana (38th) - An Italian fine dining restaurant.
