2019 - 'The World's 50 Best Restaurants' in Singapore

This is the first time an Asian nation will host this prestigious F&B award ceremony


The World's 50 Best will hold their annual restaurant award ceremony in Singapore this year. This will mark the very first time an Asian country will host this prestigious award ceremony, and shows the growing prominence of Asian food in the world of high-end global cuisine.  Singapore will also be the first Asian nation to host the World's 50 Best Bar Awards in 2021. A series of other prominent awards will be held in Singapore, as well, marking a new-wave of cooperation between The World's 50 Best and the Singapore Tourism board.


 The full line-up of events hosted by Singapore in the coming years include:

- The World's 50 Best Bars 2021 


Given that Singapore is a multicultural city where vibrant food is plentiful, it is the perfect place from which to showcase Asia's exciting food culture. Everything from Indian to Chinese to Western food can be found in abundance within Singapore. One need only look at the old-meets-new architecture style throughout the city to know that among the skyscrapers in this metropolis, Singapore still keeps hold of its traditions - especially when it comes to food. Be it Michelin Star restaurants or succulent street food, Singapore has it all. 


The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2019 will be voted on by a distinguished group of 1,000 judges made up evenly of a 50-50 split of men and women. This marks the first time that women will be represented in equal numbers as part of the voting panel. In addition to celebrating and identifying the 50 best restaurants in the world, a slew of other notable awards will also be presented that single out exquisite [2]"talent, diversity, opportunity and sustainability."
